Who I am

I’m a writer specializing in memoir. I came to writing my own short stories and essays after over twenty years of experience as a professional editor and proofreader. I found the most meaning as a mentor for first-time authors, helping them proofread and perfect their manuscripts. Now, in semi-retirement, my passion is writing, finding the extraordinary in what appears to be the ordinary, and telling the story.

My most recent book, Miss Anna Potcake, The True Story of an Island Dog is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other fine book sellers. It’s the story of a Bahamian street dog who was found alone, sick, and malnourished. She was nurtured back to health by a devoted foster family, then adopted - by me! The book was written for children, but appeals to all ages of dog lovers.
